In Conestoga Valley School District, Character Education is a districtwide emphasis. Values are considered to be important in our community.

Each month a different character education trait is chosen as a theme. Students are reminded of the trait and teachers are encouraged to devise specific activities to emphasize and teach the trait.

Our goal is to provide lists of picture books by character trait for teachers to use in their classrooms to help teach these valuable lessons.

Teachers and librarians are encouraged to add the names of books that they have used and found effective. You are encouraged to rate the book in terms of student interest and effectiveness in illustrating the character trait.

There is a link for each month and character trait where you will find a list of suggested books and a form where you can add additional titles.
